Measuring a body shell digitally is the first step for our engineers in developing a new roll cage design for Motorsport teams. The design is then developed on Solid Works software with MIRA load testing of the final wire frame cage confirming the optimum strength has been achieved while working within the FIA regulations to produce a lightweight cage.
Once approved by the client multiple cages can then be manufactured on our CNC bending machines. A digital measuring arm is used to check the accuracy of the final parts. CNC Plasma or laser cutting of the scalloped tube ends is offered. Each kit is supplied with laser-cut footplates, gussets etc.
Alternatively clients send us CAD data of their roll cage and this data is used directly in the CNC machines to produce the finished set of tubes. For bolt-in cages a fixture is then used to produce the final welded cage.
