Top Gear turns to Custom Cages
It all started with a panic phone call from the production company that needed a roll cage fitted to a BMW 3 series four-door in double quick time. The reason for the urgency was that the Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond had entered the Brit Car 24hr endurance race at Silverstone which was to be filmed for the BBC programme watched by millions. Not having the car ready on time was not acceptable!
So the lads in blue at Custom Cages set to and fitted a cage in just three days. The good news is that the TV stars finished the race but it wasn't without its incidents!
